Holiday apartment - 4 persons - 69002 - Lyon

We reserved this rental for an 11 day stay. Pros: - check in was easy, the lock box with the key was easy to find and open with the code provided via the online "booklet" with information about the rental - location of the apartment is central to anything we needed - amazing restaurants, grocery store, shopping, etc. - bed was comfortable and the rental was a good size for the two of use Cons: - there is a lot of noise going to 1am in the morning with the restaurant across the street and then starting at 7am in the morning with garbage and delivery trucks; if you are at all disturbed by city noise, ear plugs are necessary to sleep - for an 11 day stay we only received one bath towel each, one hand towel, one kitchen towel and a bath mat; we had to do laundry and use wet towels because we did not have a second set (we ended up purchasing additional towels); we purchased laundry detergent to do laundry - there are no regular glasses in the kitchen and only one wine glass; there are not enough dishes for the 4 people the rental advertises for; it was okay for 2 people - the sponge left to do dishes with was gross so we had to replace it - there were no instructions on how to use the oven; we were able to find the manual online but the wire rack needed to use the oven for baking was not in the kitchen so we could not use it - the spray handle in the shower was disconnected and not usable; the tubing to connect to the sprayer was hanging loose in the bathtub - the front door latch at the top sticks, at one point locking me in the apartment until I could manually release it using a knife - no bedding for the pull out sofa was provided despite it supposedly being "at our disposal"; we purchased bedding in order to use it (which we use because my husband snores) - multiple attempts made to contact "Team DiFy" were not answered - we left messages via the online booklet message feature and sent multiple emails, no responses were received; fortunately we did not have any major problems other than a lack of amenities promised but we received many emails letting us know we could reach out for assistance which was frustrating - a half roll of toilet paper was provided; we purchased toilet paper for the rest of our stay - we received many emails requesting us to leave a 5 star review the day we checked out Overall, I would not stay at a DiFy rental again. As a travel advisor, being able to contact the property for assistance is essential and this property did not meet that very basic need. Also, the amenities provided did not meet expectations (towels, dishes, bedding). If I had a client staying in this rental, I would have had complaints and would have been unable to resolve them due to lack of communication. If your only requirement is location, then this apartment will be amazing but if you rely on basic amenities, I would suggest staying elsewhere.
