The coastal area of Audierne Bay is, apart from the rocky coastline at Penmarc'h and the Pointe de la Torche, a gently sloping coastal strip. After the town of Audierne, however, the height of the cliffs gradually increases until the famous Pointe du Raz the infamous rocks extend to the Chaussée de Sein to the west of the island The surrounding nature reserve is a paradise for hikers and nature lovers Attractive excursions are the Pays Bigouden, which is shaped by Breton traditions, the historic capital of Quimper and the old sardine port of Douarnenez are organised in the summer with festivals and parties where you can learn about Breton scribbled music, dancing and all sorts of delicious specialities
