Welcome to Skærbækcentret – a holiday in the heart of nature

Are you dreaming of a holiday filled with experiences, fresh air and time for each other? Then Skærbækcentret is the perfect place to start. Here you will stay in the middle of the Wadden Sea National Park, close to the popular holiday island of Rømø, with a wealth of activities right on your doorstep.

Whether you are looking for relaxation, fun, nature or action, there is something for the whole family.

Comfortable holiday homes with room for the whole family

At Skærbækcentret, you will stay in cosy and well-equipped holiday homes located in peaceful surroundings close to both nature and city life.

The houses are 43 m² and comprise:

• 2 bedrooms (4 single beds)
• Loft with 3 mattresses (low ceiling height – perfect for children)
• Kitchen with oven, dishwasher, microwave and fridge/freezer
• Bathroom and toilet
• Covered terrace
• TV – access to Danish and foreign TV channels
• Free WiFi

All houses are non-smoking, and several are wheelchair accessible. Pets are welcome in selected houses (advance booking required), and allergy-friendly houses can also be booked.

Practical information:

• Bed linen, towels, tea towels, etc. must be brought with you or can be rented
• Starter kit with cleaning products: DKK 30
• Coin-operated washing machine and tumble dryer: DKK 30 per wash/dry
• Barbecue can be rented from DKK 75 per stay
• Breakfast can be purchased: DKK 105 for adults / 50 for children
• Please bring the following items with you or purchase/rent them upon arrival:
• Bed linen, towels, tea towels, cleaning cloths, cleaning products and toilet paper.
• Activities and facilities – something for everyone

As a guest in the holiday homes, you have free access to a wide range of facilities:

• Swimming pool with 53 m water slide, 1 and 3 metre diving boards, 25 m pool (28°), hot water pool and children's pool (33°), Jacuzzi, steam bath and sauna (sauna bath offered during the winter months)
• Fitness centre (from 15 years)
• Indoor play area covering 700 m² – a colourful and imaginative universe filled with climbing frames, trampolines, slides, ball courts and interactive games
• Outdoor playgrounds and green areas for ball games and relaxation
• In addition, you can use:
• 8 bowling lanes (for a fee)
• Tennis and paddle tennis courts
• Multi-purpose court and campfire site
• Café and restaurant Staffeli with delicious dishes made from local ingredients
• Option to order tapas, 2- or 3-course dinner at reasonable prices

Please note: Activities are available from 10:00 on the day of arrival until 17:00 on the day of departure. Some facilities may be closed due to events – keep an eye on notices and the website.

Skærbæk and the surrounding area offer plenty of exciting experiences – for nature lovers, culture enthusiasts and families looking for action:

• Rømø: Discover the wide sandy beach and try beach sailing – a fun and different activity for the whole family.
• Marsk Tower: 25-metre-high observation tower designed by Bjarke Ingels Group – only 1.5 km from the centre
• Sort Sol, Grå Sol and Hvid Sol: Spectacular natural phenomena in spring and autumn
• Go-kart track in Skærbæk – for those with petrol in their blood
• Galleries and arts and crafts in Skærbæk town
• Excursions to: Ribe, Tønder, Møgeltønder (Schackenborg Castle), the Wadden Sea Centre and border shopping
• A tip for a really cool experience during your stay could be beach sailing on Rømø.
