Cozy apartment on the first floor of a beautiful old house from 1864, which has been continuously renovated. Here, you can enjoy a holiday in idyllic surroundings close to the town, swimming pool, and golf course.

The apartment is decorated in a personal and cozy style with good use of the space, in keeping with the beautiful old property and the garden with ancient, gnarled trees. A small, functional kitchen in an open space with a dining table and a sofa corner with a television invites relaxation and togetherness. The room also features a wood-burning stove for cozy evenings or cooler days. The bathroom includes a bathtub for extra relaxation during your holiday. There are two bedrooms, both with double beds, and there is an option for an additional person on the sofa bed in the living room.

Guests have access to the large, beautiful old garden with sun loungers and a cozy courtyard where relaxation is paramount. There are also swings for the children to use. In this garden, you can fully enjoy the sun and use the garden grill when preparing meals. Additionally, there is direct access from the property to Sæby River with free fishing (guest passes are available from the owner). A staircase from the property leads to the path along the river to the beech forest Sæbygaard.

The apartment is located just 400 meters from Sæby Swimming Pool and Wellness, which offers both a swimming pool with diving boards, a slide, and a wellness area with hot tubs and various saunas. The golf course is only 2 kilometers away.

The rental price includes electricity, water, and internet.

Any heating costs are settled directly with the homeowner.

Sæby is a charming old market town with an inviting maritime atmosphere around the marina, where cafes and shops are enticing. The town also boasts a charming city life with pedestrian streets featuring a wide selection of retail shops and dining options. For nature experiences, the holiday apartment is close to Sæbygaard forest and within walking distance of the beach. Here at the beach, there is a promenade along the water where you can enjoy the weather and the view of the Kattegat.

GOOD TO KNOW:
No rentals to youth groups. The renter must be at least 25 years old and present for the entire rental period.
On request, there is the possibility of a free arrival day before week 26 and after week 34.
Utilities are included in the rent.
Good parking facilities with a carport - it is not possible to charge an electric car.

THE AREA:

The house is centrally located in the charming coastal town of Sæby, which is well worth exploring. It's a picturesque market town offering good shopping opportunities and local attractions. In summer, the harbour is full of sailboats, and you can buy ice cream and fresh fish. The maritime atmosphere, with its cafés and small shops, is full of life.

Sæby celebrated its 500th anniversary as a market town in 2024. In the historic town centre, you’ll find the abbey church, Sæby Miniby (a miniature village with houses from around 1900), the Coastal Museum, Sæby Watermill, and several local artisans around Algade.

On the outskirts of town, you’ll find a beautiful 18-hole golf course and Sæbygård Castle – both worth a visit.

The Coastal Museum has branches in Sæby, Frederikshavn, and Skagen, and tells the story of life by the sea – past and present. In Sæby, both Sæby Miniby and Sæbygård contribute to the local history.

About 10 km to the north lies Frederikshavn, where the Palm Beach (Palmestranden) is a must-see. The Bangsbo area also offers wonderful experiences, including a viewpoint, Botanical Garden, Deer Park, and excellent hiking and biking trails.

If you head even further north, Skagen has much to offer – including Grenen, where the two seas meet, and the famous Skagen Museums. Families with teddy bear fans will love the cozy Teddy Bear Museum. Other must-sees include The Grey Lighthouse (Det Grå Fyr), The Buried Church (Den Tilsandede Kirke), and Råbjerg Mile – all unforgettable experiences.

Sæby is also ideally located as a base for exploring the many attractions of North Jutland.
