Solskovhytten is a 200 m² thatched cottage set on a large natural plot in peaceful surroundings near Herning. It provides an ideal setting for larger families and groups looking for a holiday focused on spending time together, outdoor living and shared experiences.

The natural heart of the house is the living room, with plenty of space for relaxing evenings, games and unwinding together. From here, there is direct access to the south-facing terrace, making it easy to take meals and social gatherings outdoors.

The house has four bedrooms and a total of 20 sleeping spaces. Three bedrooms have four, three and two beds respectively, while the spacious dormitory provides additional sleeping space. The layout makes the house well suited to several families, groups, associations and shared holidays.

The well-equipped kitchen makes it easy to prepare meals for larger groups. Facilities include a dishwasher, refrigerator, freezer, cooker, electric kettle and coffee maker. Crockery, glasses, cutlery and chairs are also provided for up to 30 people.

The bathroom facilities include a toilet and shower cubicle as well as space for changing a baby. There is also a separate toilet – a practical feature when many people are staying together.

The large natural grounds offer plenty of opportunities to enjoy unhurried days. Children can play while the adults find a sunny spot to relax, and the terrace is a natural meeting place for morning coffee, lunch or a peaceful evening after a day of exploring.

The area around Herning offers a great combination of nature, culture and activities. Explore the Central Jutland countryside on foot or by bike, discover forests and heathland, or visit Herning, where shops, restaurants, art and a variety of events provide plenty of options.

For families with children and groups, the central location in Jutland is an excellent base for day trips to attractions throughout the area. If you would like to combine your stay with a trip to Jutland’s west coast, the sea is approximately 45 km from the house.
