Ideally located close to the coastline and beaches, Minehead is known as "The Gateway to Exmoor," offering a variety of activities for all ages. The town is home to a historic harbour, fishing quarter, and a selection of tea rooms, pubs, and independent shops. The West Somerset Steam Railway terminates in Minehead, and the Exmoor Coaster, an open-top bus, operates in summer, providing scenic routes to nearby towns such as Lynmouth and Ilfracombe.
