About the accommodation
The authentic rustico was built by hand by the original owner Nonno Milton using traditional granite stone construction methods - with lots of charm and the little nooks and crannies that the people of Ticino love.
Here you live in the middle of nature, right on the edge of the forest. It can happen that a small forest dweller makes an appearance or a cobweb lurks in the corner. Anyone who appreciates life in an original rustico will find a place of peace and authenticity here.
Hiking trails through the wild and romantic Maggia Valley start right on the doorstep. On warm days, the natural pools of the Maggia offer welcome refreshment, while small grottos, village markets or a detour to Cevio or Locarno invite you to enjoy discoveries in the surrounding area.
In the cooler months, a fresh breeze blows through the unplastered stone walls, which you can quickly chill out by the crackling fireplace or stove. There is no electric heating here - just warmth, tranquillity and authenticity.

Room layout
The cosy living area with sitting area and open-plan kitchen is on the ground floor. Upstairs is the wood-panelled bedroom with a double bed and a double sofa bed, which can be used as an extra bed if required. Rustico Nonno Milton also has two bathrooms.

The accommodation is situated on a sunny, quiet hillside above the municipality of Cavergno. The village centre with post bus stop, butcher's shop, authentic bar and pizzeria is a five-minute walk away. Locarno is 30 minutes away by car.
