Es liegt in Vågå und ist damit idealer Ausgangspunkt um Norwegen von seiner schönsten Seite kennenzulernen. Von der Juvasshytta geht es auf zum Galdhøpiggen, Norwegens höchstem Berg (2469 m ü. NHN). Nicht weit entfernt liegt auch Gjendesheim neben dem bekannten Gebirgsrücken Bessegen. Tagestouren nach Geiranger, Stryn oder zur Stabkirche in Lom. Ansonsten ist die Region auch bei Anglern sehr beliebt (Lachsforelle und Äsche). Es ist auch möglich mit Netz zu fischen, der Eigentümer kann bei Bedarf behilflich sein. Das Haus ist Rollstuhlgeeignet.
