There are many mountain peaks around Lake Eikesdalsvatnet, ideal for hiking. The impressive Mardalsfossen waterfall in Eikesdalen, the world’s 4th highest free-fall waterfall, is only 30 minutes away. A Sherpa staircase with 1,200 hand-laid stone steps is also nearby. Trollstigen and the Atlantic Road are about 90 minutes away, the Art Nouveau town of Ålesund 2 hours away, Kristiansund 65 minutes, and Molde 45 minutes.

The fjord offers excellent fishing with a wide variety of fish. Boat is available for rent at the floating dock in front of the apartment. It should be booked at the same time as the holidayhouse booking, as the boat is shared with others.
