The island of Storfosna has frequent ferry connections to Garten, just west of the town of Brekstad, with grocery store. Petrol station on the island. The island is large with many permanent residents, hence the good ferry connections to the mainland. Storfosna is a great starting point for road trips to e.g. Trondheim, Røros, Stiklestad. It is 19 km to Brekstad including ferry, with all service offers. Large open spaces. The landlord has sheep fenced in the area, which like contact with people. Sandy beach 50 m.

Life jackets for rent NOK 30 per week/pers. A boat driver's license is required for anyone born after 1980 who drives a boat with an engine larger than 25 hp.
