Description

Oudesluis is a quiet little village with around 600 inhabitants. It is about 6 km from the beach (Callantsoog). The nearest towns worth visiting are Alkmaar (20 km) with its cheese market, Den Helder (15 km) with its naval museum and Schagen (10 km) with its cattle market on Thursdays.
Oudesluis has a pub, car repair shop and boat hire. Further shopping facilities can be found in 't Zand or Anna Paulowna.
Our German-speaking caretaker is available to help with any problems. The two-storey house is modelled on the style of the old North Holland fishermen's houses. It is made of wood with insulation that allows it to be lived in during the winter. The holiday home complex 't Zijper Eilant consists of 125 houses and is considered quiet even in the high season. The nearby swimming pool can be used free of charge and a boat can be moored in the harbour belonging to the complex. There is also a well-equipped children's playground and free fishing.

The spacious living and dining area with kitchen is located on the ground floor. The kitchen is equipped with a fridge, gas hob and dishwasher. All the utensils you need for cooking are available. The living room is open up to the roof ridge, furnished with cosy furniture and has an open fireplace that provides cosy warmth in less pleasant weather. TV reception is via satellite with more than 400 programmes. There is also a selection of different literature and games to pass the time. From the dining area you can reach the terrace with adjoining garden and patio furniture. There is also a twin bedroom (bunk bed) with changing table on the ground floor, as well as a storage room with oven, freezer, washing machine and the boiler for the gas central heating. The bathroom is equipped with WC and shower. On the upper floor there is a gallery and a bedroom with a double bed and fitted wardrobes.

The lovingly maintained outdoor area consists of a front garden with a small terrace and wooden bench. The garden at the rear is fenced and offers the opportunity to barbecue or listen to the hustle and bustle of the small outdoor pool opposite.
