This striking 1-bedroom mansion in Isola Superiore (Stresa) is at a walking distance from Lake Maggiore. The mansion enjoys panoramic views over the lake. You can stay here in comfort with a small family or group of 4 persons. Isola Superiore, an island on Lake Maggiore, is the only permanently inhabited island in the archipelago. There are small beach areas on both sides of the Island. Local handicrafts can be purchased at the town center at 1 km, which is also great to enjoy the streetscape. It is a good starting point for discovering the area through public transport or boat. Several traditional restaurants serve up delicious dishes, based almost entirely on fish. You will find supermarkets at 3 km. The mansion has an oven in the kitchen to bake cakes and pizzas whenever you wish. Although on a small island in the middle of the lake, guests always have a free WiFi connection. You also have central heating for comfort in winter. A cot and a high chair can be requested here.

L’ISOLA SUPERIORE DEI PESCATORI - It owes its name to the activity of its inhabitants and certainly has the most character dor all the Borromeo islands on Lake Maggiore. It is approximately 300 meters of land in the middle of the lake, spectacularly framed by the Alps. The fascination of this island lies in the traditional simplicity and rustic candour of its houses. In the narrow alleys you will find restaurants, providing local fish from the lake, bars kiosks and small shops. The Island is connect to Stresa (3 stops) and Baveno (1 stop) by a regular public boat service available until h. 7.00 pm (www.navlaghi.it) or water-taxi. Upon prior request, the kind owner will also organise transfers to and from the island by motor boat. Mottarone is equipped for winter sports. The villages surrounding offer traditional and cultural events as well as musical festival well advertised by the local tourist office. S.S. 33 (Brig/Simplon Pass/Domodossola) exit Baveno/Stresa or S.S.32 (Bellinzona/Locarno/Baveno) Park in Baveno, in one of the public parking area. To get to the island you have two different options: By public boat of the Navigazione Lago Maggiore your destination is Isola Superiore dei Pescatori (time table available on the internet approx from 8.00 am to 7.00 pm) or by private taxi boat.
