Fairytale holiday villa surrounded by a well-kept park of approximately 20,000 m2, embellished by the large swimming pool and designed with heart and intelligence by the friendly and expert owners. The elegant residence arises from the renovation of a nineteenth-century villa, built in the "cold lands" area, in the municipality of Galatina (about 15 minutes' drive from the sea and close to many typical Salento attractions). The interiors are numerous and comfortable, exceptional in terms of furnishings and layout: 5 bright bedrooms, 6 excellent bathrooms, 3 charming living rooms, large kitchen with central island. Let's look at its composition in detail. A characteristic dry stone wall flanks the Lecce stone of the main entrance, where an automatic wrought iron gate is supported by two imposing columns. The long entrance avenue, lined with trees and ornamental plants (lantana, cicas, dwarf palms, etc.), leads to the monumental building divided into two spacious floors. The valuable property has 7 external accesses, which perfectly disengage the rooms. The front left entrance is placed parallel to the one behind, giving a fantastic perspective on the rear swimming pool or the front greenery, depending on the angle you look at. Similarly, on the right, two large glass doors enclose a refined living room. The central access leads to a room with a bookcase, located in the middle of the two spaces previously described and, on the horizontal connection line (living room-dining room-sitting room) there are no doors inserted, giving a pleasant feeling of freedom, with open spaces to live and appreciate. The entire ground floor is conceived in this way, even the second living room, located in front of the large kitchen, when the large sliding door is open, forms another line that ends on the side veranda. In the open-space living room, embellished with barrel vaults, star vaults and arches, we see an elegant, very large billiard table, which becomes a 22-seater table if the wooden covers are inserted. Going towards the rear swimming pool, a second table, which can be opened, allows for convivial moments embellished with an enchanting view of the swimming pool and the greenery. To the left of the table, we notice a relaxation lounge with a stone fireplace, TV and a colorful Persian carpet. On the right, however, there is the cooking room, with a steel kitchen, dishwasher, espresso machine, fridge with freezer and a comfortable central island with seats, sink and various compartments. From the billiard area an opening leads into the entrance hall with bookcase. From there, another access leads to the bright period living room, where you can appreciate the beauty of the furnishings, the paintings, the crystal table placed on a lively Persian artefact. Also on the ground floor there is a double bedroom, with independent exit to the garden and having a bathroom complete with shower and toilet. A second bathroom, very large, with an artistic stone sink and toilet, completes the ground floor. To the left of the carambola, an opening leads to the practical staircase to the first floor. As soon as we enter, on the left-hand side we find the laundry room (with washing machine, sink, iron and ironing board) and the large master bedroom, a fine room with a large bathroom complete with shower and toilet. On the right, the other 3 bedrooms with as many bathrooms are located on the sides of a sizeable living room equipped with a lounge, 60" flat screen TV and excellent furnishings (a feature common to the various rooms of the house). The 3 sleeping rooms, all double, one has a marble bathroom with tub and toilet. Each room has its own complete bathroom and is equipped with the latest generation TV. The elegant villa also amazes for its aesthetic sense and practicality in the organization of outdoor spaces. Coming out from the rear, a wonderful infinity pool, bordered by precious Trani stone, allows for comfortable bathing in the lower part (1 m deep) or refreshing dips in the opposite portion (about 2 m). Next to it are various areas for pleasant moments of relaxation: we see the circular jasmine gazebo, with table and chairs, delightful in the flowering period; the particular covered veranda in carparo, delimited by solid columns, equipped with dining table, chairs, sink; the solarium areas with umbrellas and deckchairs, where you can enjoy a good drink or tan in the warm Apulian sun. Serving the swimming pool there is also a small bathroom and two external showers. Last, but not least, feature that makes the estate unique is the presence of a priceless archaeological treasure, the church of "Santa Maria della Porta", built in antiquity, where tradition says that "The holy fisherman Peter passed through there as he crossed Salento on his journey to the place of his martyrdom”.
