The house includes: a carport for your car a terrace with table and seating furniture a covered outdoor seating area a garden barbecue a sunbathing lawn In the house: Kitchen, fully equipped with dining area for up to 4 people (with dishwasher) separate dining room, furnished with antique furniture and pictures bedroom, with double bed 180 x 200 cm guest toilet bathroom with toilet, shower (washing machine) living room with large double window (access to the terrace) for the colder days or for a cosy evening a wood-burning stove upstairs a room with two single beds and another room to relax, here there is a TV here you will find books, magazines, games etc.
Our house is in a quiet location, very conveniently situated about 200 metres from the B70.
Folmhusen is about 10 km away from the district towns of Papenburg and Leer.
These towns and the surrounding area have a lot to offer:
Papenburg
- the canals (with historic ships) in the town centre,
- the harbour
- and above all the Meyer shipyard, where the large cruise ships are built
- Shipyard tours with guided tours are possible
Leer
- with its industrial and leisure harbour in the middle of the city
- the historic old town centre with town hall and "Waage"
- a long pedestrian zone
- just outside: the Evenburg castle and the Leda barrage
- many shopping opportunities in the city and in two centres on "greenfield sites"
Closer surroundings
- the Dollart and the North Sea coast are approx. 30 and 60 km away respectively
- the fishing villages of Ditzum and Greetsiel are worth a day trip
- in Emden (approx. 50 km) is the art gallery and the VW factory
- the harbour and shortly before Emden the Emssperrwerk can be seen
- you can cycle to the Ems dyke in approx. 20 minutes
- halfway there is a campsite with a leisure lake (surfing, swimming, sunbathing etc.)
- in the immediate vicinity you can see hedgerow landscapes, "old" windmills and historic sieve systems
- there are many opportunities for cycle tours
