The Bodden is an ideal area for all kinds of water sports and is also very popular with anglers. Only a few kilometers away from Vieregge is the Schaabe, a twelve-kilometer-long spit, which, with its fine sand, is considered one of the most beautiful bathing beaches on Rügen.
