The nearest swimming area (green beach) is in Everschop-Siel, about 1.5 km away. Shops can be found in Tönning and Garding or in Husum, about 20 km away. St.-Peter-Ording with its beautiful sandy beaches can be reached in about 15 minutes by car (20 km).
