Description

The big villa lies amidst an enclosed plot of land of 3000m² with an abundance of mature trees, about 2km from the centre of the little town of Valréas, in the north of the department Vaucluse in the south-east of France. Owing to the quiet and rural location amidst gently rolling hills and fields, it is an ideal place to relax.

This spacious villa of around 200m² with a private pool can accommodate eight people on two floors. The ground floor has a bedroom with a double bed (140 x 200cm), a bathroom with a washing machine, a separate WC, a living room, a kitchen and a 25m² veranda. The spacious kitchen is fully-equipped with an oven, stove, fridge with freezer compartment, microwave, dishwasher, coffee machine and toaster, as well as a dining corner. The kitchen opens onto the terrace. You can make yourself comfortable on the two sofas in front of the fireplace (only decoration, it can't be used) or the TV in the living room, which has a further dining corner. The living room provides access to the conservatory with garden furniture. The first floor has a bedroom with another double bed (140 x 200cm) and a TV as well as a bedroom with two single beds (each 90 c 200cm), as well as a separate WC and a bathroom. Both rooms open onto a balcony and a terrace. The top floor in the attic has another room with a pull-out bed providing two single beds of 90 x 200cm. The whole house has central heating with radiators in every room except the conservatory. In summer the house is pleasantly cool even without air conditioning, owing to the thick walls. Internet access is available.

The outdoor area comprises an enormous surrounding park with an abundance of mature trees and a big, private pool measuring 9 x 5 metres, with a depth of 1.05 to 2.20 metres. By the pool there is a sun lounging area with deckchairs and there are pleasant shaded spots, where you can enjoy meals or simply relax. There is a stone grill on the terrace with garden furniture adjoining the veranda. Cars can be parked safely on the big site.

Pets are welcome on the enclosed site, but the owners request that you bring a blanket for it to sleep on and to keep the garden clean. Four bicycles are at the guests’ disposal and free of charge.

The villa with its private pool, standing alone in an idyllic location in the middle of fields, is a perfect place to relax or to visit the beautiful towns and the region from: Avignon and Valence are an hour’s drive away, Vaison La Romaine, Mont Ventoux and the Ardèche gorges are half an hour away by car, the towns of Montélimar and Orange are about 40 minutes away by car. Many festivals are held in Avignon, Vaison la Romaine and Orange during the summer. Valréas is a small town of 10,000 inhabitants, which provides everyday shops. The nearest grocery shop is about 500 metres away, the nearest restaurant about 2km away. You can visit some castles in the area (Grignan, Suze la Rousse, la Garde-Adhémar and of course in Valréas) , as well as some typical Provençal markets.
