The black piste Schweizer Mauer / Chavanette is considered one of the greatest challenges for good skiers in the Alps. Wonderful freeride descents, e.g. to Grand Paradis (ski instructor / mountain guide recommended; at your own risk). Wide, family-friendly pleasure pistes around Les Lindarets. Châtel is the ideal starting point for exploring the entire area, as it offers pistes of all levels of difficulty. Snowboarders appreciate the smooth park, boardercross or the FFS halfpipe.
