The highlight of this charming old villa is its fantastic location above the beach of La Potinière. From the large garden and almost every room in the house you have a wonderful view of the sea and the offshore coastal area. Inside, the holiday home is furnished in a very simple and rustic way, but it offers enough comfort for a nice holiday in Normandy. The staircase and the walls of the corridor have not yet been renovated. On the walls are inscriptions, correspondences of the Americans during the war. The large garden with its beautiful trees and barbecue area is an invitation to convivial outdoor meals. When you come back from the beach, the shower on the ground floor is particularly practical and it is precisely in high season that you will also appreciate the 3 parking spaces on your own land. The popular GR 233 hiking trail passes beneath the property and offers direct access to the white sandy beach below.

Barneville-Carteret is a charming seaside resort made up of two municipalities, with two harbours and three magnificent beaches, all of which have been awarded the Blue Flag for their water quality and environmental management. Carteret's beach, la Potiniere, faces south and is protected by rocks. Due to the influence of the Gulf Stream, the water here is slightly warmer. White-blue bathing cabins complete the picturesque atmosphere of this seaside resort, which was already popular at the turn of the last century and to which numerous holiday villas in Art Nouveau style still bear witness today. If you follow the publican's path, you will soon reach a beautiful viewpoint at the Carteret lighthouse, which has been showing sailors the way since 1839.
