Though no longer operational, it stands as a fascinating historical feature that adds authentic character to the space. When the sun is out, step onto the newly built terrace where you can bask in the morning and evening light, overlooking the edge of the forest. If you’re lucky, you might even spot some of the forest’s shy inhabitants. In the early morning hours, “Bambi” — a graceful fallow deer — and friends often make a quiet and majestic appearance, offering a magical start to the day. It's an idyllic spot for scenic walks and peaceful moments by the sea. The vibrant town centre of Svaneke lies just one kilometre away, offering an array of charming shops, tempting restaurants, and unique experiences for all ages. Discover the fascinating glassblowing workshop, sample locally brewed craft beer, or savour freshly made ice cream beneath the flowering almond tree in the courtyard of Mermaid Café.
