This cosy holiday cottage on Vestmarksvej is full of atmosphere and soul – just 100 meters from Sæby’s child-friendly sandy beach.
It’s the perfect location for both relaxation and an active holiday, close to nature and town life.
The house was thoroughly renovated in 2002, yet many of its original features and charm have been lovingly preserved. With its well-utilized 50 m², it offers a warm and homely atmosphere where you can truly sense the house’s history while also appreciating the ongoing care and maintenance.
The layout is simple and functional, with a small, well-equipped kitchen and a cosy living room where you can enjoy the light streaming through large windows. From the living room, you enter a charming little sunroom with a classic built-in bench and dining area – a perfect spot for morning coffee or relaxing evenings with a view of the sea.
The cottage includes two bedrooms: One with a ¾ bed and a bunk bed – ideal for children. The other has a double bed and is accessed via the kitchen and terrace, creating a lovely sense of privacy.
The garden is fully enclosed, and it’s clear that the home has been lovingly used and cared for through generations. There’s a sandbox and a football goal for the little ones, as well as two delightful terraces – one covered and one offering panoramic views of the Kattegat Sea. An outdoor shower makes it easy to rinse off the day’s sand before preparing dinner on the barbecue.
The nearby beach, just steps away, is considered one of the area’s finest. Here, you can swim, play, stroll along the shore, or join in on various summer activities. A cosy summer café and a beach volleyball court nearby complete the authentic holiday experience.
This is an older, yet exceptionally well-maintained holiday home with soul, close to the sea and everything that makes summer living special – a peaceful oasis where memories are made, and time moves just a little slower.

Sæby is an incredibly beautiful town with a very charming town center, where you can enjoy a good shopping experience or a trip to a café/restaurant. There is a large and beautiful harbor with plenty of life and a promenade with the finest beach. Just behind the town lies Sæbygaard Forest, a stunning beech forest with streams, bridges, and a tennis club. On the backside of the forest is Sæbygaard Castle and an associated golf course. It is easy to get around, and everything is within reach. Discover the attractions of Fruen ved Havet, Sæby Watermill, and Sæby Church on your own and delve into the history. You can also book a guided tour to gain a lot of knowledge and great stories about Sæby.
Nearby are Voergaard Castle, Palmestranden in Frederikshavn, and the viewing platform at Pikkerbakken. It is also not far to Aalborg, if you wish to visit Denmark’s third-largest city. The North Sea is another exciting and possible excursion destination, and you can reach Skagen at the top of "Top of Denmark" within an hour.
