About the house
Welcome to the charming old grocery store in Kolby Kaas – a truly unique holiday home with lots of character and space for a large family or a group of friends who want to holiday together.
The beautifully renovated house is bright, spacious and inviting, with a total of 250 m² spread over several levels. Here you will find a lovely, well-equipped kitchen and a large living room with a wood-burning stove and a beautiful view of the water.
The house has three wood-burning stoves, so you can enjoy the cosy warmth and the sound of crackling wood on cool evenings. Through the large windows, you can admire the sea and the play of light on the water – a fantastic backdrop all year round.
The nine bedrooms offer both double and single beds, so there is room for everyone. One of the rooms has a large, old desk – perfect for the creative soul or for those who need to take some work with them. The interior design is a beautiful combination of classic, antique furniture and modern comfort.
There are four bathrooms, all with toilets and shower cubicles. On the first-floor landing, you will find a cosy nook with its own wood-burning stove – an ideal place for peace and quiet. The large living room has direct access to the huge terrace, where you can enjoy the evening sun and the fantastic view.
A separate utility room has a washing machine, tumble dryer and extra refrigerator, so all the practicalities are taken care of. 

Outside
Outside, there is a large and inviting terrace where you can enjoy your holiday from morning to night. As the day draws to a close, you can light up the large barbecue and cook fresh local produce under the open sky – or take a seat on the partially covered part of the terrace, where you can sit warm and dry while the sun sets over the water.
If you take a walk through the campsite, you will come to the bathing jetty with small benches – the perfect place for a quiet moment with a view of the sea. Along the coast, there are also good fishing opportunities for both children and adults.

The island
The house is only about 500 metres from Kolby Kaas Harbour, where sailors can moor and where an evening stroll along the quay offers a cosy island atmosphere. In the surrounding area, you can also visit Kolby Mill, the Fredensdal farmstead and the Technical Museum – exciting attractions that tell the island's history in a charming way.
On Samsø, you will find everything your heart desires – from beautiful nature to shopping and gastronomy. In Tranebjerg and Ballen, there are good shopping opportunities as well as cosy cafés and restaurants if you want an evening without cooking.
In Nordby, the whole family can try their hand at the world's largest maze, a fun and different activity for both children and adults.
