The castle boasts 10 cozy, newly renovated bedrooms—eight on the first floor and two on the ground floor—with a total of 25 beds. Additionally, the charming garden house offers four more sleeping spaces, and there’s a garden shelter with room for 3-4 extra guests, which is especially popular with children and teenagers.

A Unique House with a Rich History
Built in 1877 by brickworks owner Nicolai August Matzen, Iller Castle was strategically placed near the fjord, a vital transport route for his bricks. Today, the castle sits on the legendary Gendarm-Path, a nearly 100-kilometer hiking route along Flensborg Fjord, steeped in Danish history.
The current owners live nearby and aim to offer guests a unique and unforgettable experience, drawing on the castle’s idyllic location in the heart of Broagerland’s stunning natural surroundings, with fjord views and a sprawling garden.

Iller Castle features two beautiful, interconnected lounges where up to 40 people can gather for family trips, birthdays, anniversaries, or other milestones.
