The house is in the oldest part of the locality, framed by private gardens and built of stone in a typical Dalmatian style. The restoration work was carried out carefully and with attention to details that have been part of local life for the last 200 years. It enjoys a quiet and peaceful location in the centre of the island and the stone house invites you to spend a completely relaxing holiday. Experience a unique combination of old and new, infused with Mediterranean traditions and the old stories of former residents. Each corner of the house breathes the spirit of the rich history of the island. The garden belonging to the house has a table for six people in the natural shade of jasmine and an almond tree. An integral part of the courtyard is the area with a brick-built barbecue which is always available for use. There is an outdoor shower with water heated by the sun (cold and warm water), so you can take a shower outdoors in the evenings.
On the ground floor of around 26m² there is an open and fully-equipped kitchen (fridge, electric hob with hotplates, microwave, coffee machine, crockery and accessories for six people). It also has a dining room with a table for 4-6 people and a bathroom with a shower on this floor. The first floor of around 26m² is dominated by the airy living room, with two windows facing south and one facing east. The room is furnished with an antique chest and cupboard, a pull-out sofa bed for two people and an armchair. It also has a TV and a stereo system. The living room is also accessible via a unique stone staircase from the terrace. In the attic, which serves as the sleeping area, there is a bedroom with a double bed, a built-in wardrobe and an old, restored dresser, and there is a second bedroom with a double bed and a small adjoining area. All the windows in the house are fitted with fly screens. The floors are connected by internal stairs. It is possible to stay during the cooler months of the year, as there is a Scandinavian wood-burning oven on the ground floor (kitchen, dining room) and for the first floor (living room). On the sleeping level there is air conditioning for cooling, as well as additional heating.
Zlarin, the island in the Šibenik archipelago closest to the town of Šibenik and just 30 minutes by boat from Šibenik, is still an island of unspoilt nature, free of car traffic. The greenery of the Mediterranean vegetation conceals idyllic, unpopulated bays with crystal clear sea, connected by a network of little paths. The island offers its guests peaceful holidays, far away from the hustle and bustle of mass tourism. It is an island where the search for corals and processing them into jewellery has been a tradition since the 15th century. Those looking for something different keep coming back.
The rental price includes a shared grill evening (on request) and use of the grill in the owner’s house (on request). It is possible to go on a fishing trip with a private motor boat (optional traditional fishing lessons with your own fishing equipment). You can go sailing (3.7m sailing boat), independently or in a tandem (optional sailing lessons).
